What do you do to make people join in and not feel left out? by Iveta Vladykova, 1.BDVS, Slovakia Every person is a human being. He has illussion, ideals, emotions... People with white or black colour of skin are human being. I like every person: high or small, with high education or not, old or young... I like to know new people and I don´t distinguish who is who. Nobody wants to be alone, because to be alone isn´t good for our life. People know to talk, to smile... and through this they can find friends. They can find friends when they go to a disco, to the cinema, to the bars, for a walk... People can choose their friends by sympathy. All people like meeting other people. Some people buy an animal for themselves when they are feeling lonely. They buy e. g.: dogs, cats, guinea pigs, birds,...When somebody comes to a new flat he has new neighbours and they go for a talk together. They can do some parties at home and there they can meet new people and talk to them and they can be friends. If we have friends we aren´t lonely but only if we have really good friends. Because a human being knows really good friends only if he is in problems and he needs help. In this time person knows if he/she is lonely or not. |
What would we do if a new student started in our class? By Tone and Heidi from 8a and Magnus in 8b, Alvdal skole, Norway We would have made so that he or she wouldn't be left out, invited him to join our group. If the student was left out he would have started to get silly thoughts, it should not be like that. We would have acted like this new student had been as good friend like our other friends, invite him or her to join us in our spare time activities, include him or her. Imagine if it was you who were this newcomer, imagine if it was you who had to start in a totally new class without anyone you knew. Compliments are a smart way to get to know someone new. It is nice to here things like "So nice clothes you have", "so nice you are" or "you are clever". Do everything you can so that this new student would feel as welcome as possible.
